How much does mediation cost in Bucharest?

The mediation fee is set at the first meeting, based on the type and value of the dispute. For most civil cases the cost is far lower than full litigation in Bucharest (stamp duty, expert reports, multiple legal fees). And if the case is already in court, the stamp duty is refunded once mediation closes with an agreement.

Do you cover Ilfov county as well?

Yes. I provide mediation and legal services in Voluntari, Pipera, Otopeni, Bragadiru, Popești-Leordeni, Chiajna, Buftea, Snagov and other Ilfov localities. Sessions can take place at the office, online or — on request and in justified cases — through scheduled visits.

In which district does mediation take place?

My office is located in Bucharest, and sessions can be scheduled for clients from all six districts. For clients in Districts 4, 5 and 6 or in Ilfov I offer secure online sessions with the same procedural value.

Are you a lawyer or a mediator?

Both: I am a lawyer with the Bucharest Bar and an authorized mediator listed in the official Mediators' Register. Depending on your case I either represent you in court as a lawyer or run the mediation as a neutral third party — never both roles in the same case, to respect professional ethics.

Is mediation mandatory?

Mediation is voluntary, but in certain matters (civil, family, labor, malpractice) the parties are invited to a free informative session. Whether you continue with mediation is entirely your decision.

Can I have a lawyer present during mediation?

Yes, and it is even recommended in complex cases. Your lawyer can attend the mediation sessions and review the final agreement before signing. When I run the mediation, I cannot represent you as a lawyer in the same case.

Is the mediation agreement enforceable?

The agreement signed before the mediator can be authenticated by a notary or confirmed by the court, gaining full enforceable force. In practice, it has the same weight as a final court judgment.
